A life in medicine, now in service of nurses.
Dr. Ade Elisha has spent most of his life as a medical professional, working in public health to improve the quality of life of the communities he serves. Lucy NCLEX Golden Rule Academy is his next chapter: making sure the nurses those communities depend on make it through the door.

From Nigeria to Central Ohio
Dr. Adesegun "Ade" Elisha was born in Nigeria, where he trained as a physician and earned his MBBS, the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Medicine taught him to care for one patient at a time. Public health taught him to care for thousands at once.
He went on to earn a PhD and build a career as an epidemiologist, studying how disease moves through populations and what it takes to stop it. Across decades in clinical medicine and public health, his work has kept returning to a single question: how do we improve the quality of life for as many people as possible?
Today he serves as a Professor of Infectious Diseases and a Professor of Public Health at Walden University, teaching the next generation of health professionals. He also leads Global Health & Epidemiological Solutions, LLC, based in Lewis Center, Ohio, which operates the academy.
That's the thinking behind the academy. Too many capable nurses were failing the NCLEX not because they lacked knowledge, but because no one had diagnosed why. Dr. Elisha brought the tools of his field to the problem: start with evidence, find the pattern, treat the cause. Every repeat student begins with a forensic audit of their Candidate Performance Report, the same way an outbreak investigation begins with the case data.
He paired that rigor with something no data set can teach: the bedside judgment of experienced nurses, starting with the nurse he knows best.

Named for the nurse who sets the standard
The academy carries the name of Dr. Elisha's wife, Lucy Elisha, RN, BSN, MSN, a registered nurse for more than two decades and the academy's Co-Director and Master Clinician.
Lucy has spent her career at the bedside, the place where clinical judgment stops being a test question and becomes a patient's outcome. She knows what a safe, entry-level nurse needs to recognize in the first five minutes of a shift, because she has trained and worked beside them for years.
Her way of practicing gave the academy its other name. The Golden Rule: treat every patient, and every student, the way you would want to be treated. It's why our classes stay small, why rationales come with every question, and why we promise to keep reviewing with anyone who doesn't pass the first time.
