The curriculum
Day-by-day and week-by-week, every program follows a published plan aligned to the 2026 NCLEX-RN test plan and the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model.
Category 1: Confidence Sprint, 10 sessions
Decode the exam, master the frameworks, and walk in calm.
Decoding the CAT algorithm & NGN item mechanics
Logit-scale scoring, all 5 NGN formats, partial-credit rules and the 3-step clinical judgment narration method.
Management of care: delegation, prioritization & scope
Five Rights of Delegation, RN vs. LPN vs. UAP, stable vs. unstable assignments with Maslow and ABC.
Safety, infection control & high-alert medications
Airborne, droplet and contact precautions, PPE doffing, insulin, heparin, digoxin and their antidotes.
Critical med-surg emergencies & triage
STEMI/NSTEMI, tension pneumothorax, PE, stroke, Cushing's triad and autonomic dysreflexia.
Pharmacology calculations & week 1 simulation
Zero-error dosage math, IV flow rates, and a 50-question timed diagnostic.
Endocrine, renal & GI metabolic crises
DKA vs. HHS, the potassium-first rule, hyperkalemia, AV fistula protection, upper GI bleeds.
Maternal-newborn & pediatric priorities
Preeclampsia, previa vs. abruption, VEAL CHOP, epiglottitis, croup and milestones.
Psychosocial integrity & therapeutic communication
Suicide risk assessment, alcohol withdrawal timeline and delirium tremens protocol.
Master decision frameworks & strategy intensive
The 4 master frameworks and 3-minute pacing discipline under pressure.
Full-length 85-question simulation & readiness review
Pearson VUE conditions, individual faculty debrief and box-breathing for exam day.
2026 NCLEX-RN content weightings
Approximate share of exam items per Client Needs category, from the test plan effective April 1, 2026. Gold bars mark the highest-weight areas. Your CPR, not this chart, sets your personal priorities.
Bar shows each category's range on a 0–25% scale.
The four master decision frameworks
When every option looks right, these decide which is right.
1. First / Priority
Pick the option that addresses the most life-threatening or unstable situation. Unstable before stable, always.
2. Safety Filter
Eliminate answers that delay care, ignore a symptom, or skip a step. Skipping a step usually means wrong.
3. ABC + Maslow
Airway → Breathing → Circulation → Safety → Psychosocial. The first threatened level sets the priority.
4. Assess before acting
Assess first, except in an identified emergency like VFib, tension pneumothorax or cord prolapse. Then act.
